Former Wales international Rob Massam has returned to North Wales Crusaders having played a vital role in the club's journey to the Betfred League One grand final in 2023.
Massam, from Wrexham, is North Wales Crusaders' record try scorer and also enjoyed spells in the Championship with Rochdale Hornets as well as making international appearances for Wales.
Now back back at Crusaders with a point to prove, Massam will be looking to repeat last year's heroics with Carl Forster's side in the hunt for a play-off finish once again.
On returning to the club, Massam said: "I started my career with North Wales Crusaders, and I finished it with them too, retiring at the end of last season.
"However, I didn't finish at the club how I would have wanted to, and I still feel that I’ve got unfinished business my end.
"When Andy [Moulsdale] messaged me and explained how he’d accommodate the birth of my second child in the next four weeks it was a no brainer.
"I’m excited to get back in the mix and get my hand on the ball again."
North Wales Crusaders head coach Carl Forster added: “It’s great to have Rob back.
I’ve kept in touch with him since last season, and he’s always interested in how the boys are going.
"He fits the bill perfectly and I’m hoping him coming back to the club can give us the lift we and the fans need, and ultimately give him the send off he didn’t get last season and the one he deserves."
Massam could be set to make his return on Sunday 16th June when North Wales Crusaders welcome Workington Town to Stadiwm CSM, Colwyn Bay. Tickets for the game are on sale now and available by clicking HERE.
