North Wales Crusaders Women's head coach, Jack Harder, is enjoying life in his new role as he looks ahead to taking the currently unbeaten side into a league campaign for 2024.
Harder, who joined the North Wales Crusaders' women's team in the off season, said: "With it being the second season for North Wales Crusaders Women, it's nice to see the development and the bonds that are being created between the ladies, there seems to be a solid team and you actually see how much team camaraderie there is from last season.
"The ladies are a joy to coach, and I've been impressed with what I've seen so far.
"Collectively they are very quick in picking up and learning new things, and have performed exceedingly well in training.
"In a nice way, they've shocked me to be honest, and with myself starting this new role, it's sometimes nice to be shocked."
Crusaders Women have had three sessions under Harder so far as they prepare for the 2024 season. Harder continued: "From what I can see, the ladies are enjoying it and if there's anything I do, I'll always make it fun, because if they're not having fun, then as far as I'm concerned there is no point in cracking on and doing it."
Looking ahead to the season, Jack continued to say: "I'm looking forward to the actual season itself, I'm quite excited to start getting stuck in.
"I know we have to wait for the union season to finish, but once it has then more girls will come and join us.
"The numbers are increasing every week in training, and a lot will be crossing over for the first time, so the first couple of games will be interesting.
"I'm very excited, we have a reasonable size squad at the moment, and we will hopefully bring some more in.
"Then we will crack on, as we will playing sides within the rugby league heartlands."
