MATCHDAY LIVE: Bradford V Crusaders

North Wales Crusaders travel to face five times winners Bradford Bulls in the Betfred Challenge Cup with both sides looking to progress to round four of the competition where a home tie against Doncaster or Widnes awaits.

16:20 - The home sides quality is starting to show as Chester Butler crosses the line to extend Bradford's advantage and possibly put the tie beyond us. 30-2.

16:12 - We've more than held our own in periods of this game, only being let down by some poor discipline at times which Bradford have punished! Plenty to play for here as Crusaders continue to push the Bulls and force errors from the hosts.

15:59 - That's a strong start from Crusaders as we force Bradford into a drop-out and pressure the line turning the ball over just two meters from the Bulls' line!


15:55 - We're back underway here at Odsal, a good showing from Crusaders in the first-half with the tie still far from over, next score could be crucial!


15:40 - HALF-TIME: Bulls 18-2 Crusaders


15:38 - Bradford are in again after Crusaders find themselves on the back foot following consecutive penalties gifting the hosts good field position which they use to score. 18-2


15:31 - It's another try for the hosts as Bradford once again make Crusaders pay for a penalty in their own half and Joe Arundel crashes over the line 12-2.


15:24 - Bradford punish Crusaders for a high-tackle just ten meters out and the host use their good position to power over the line 6-2.


15:20 - This is a really good start from Carl Forster's side! Bradford force a drop-out and look to put Crusaders under pressure, but we hold firm in defence and remain ahead with 20 gone.


15:18 - And there it is! Our pressure finally pays off as we force Bradford into conceding a penalty which we choose to kick to open the scoring! 0-2.


15:17 - Strong start from Crusaders against higher league opposition here as we force Bradford into conceding a goal-line-drop-out!


15:12 - Agonisingly close for the hosts as they burst onto a ball and look to be in only to knock-on before it's grounded, we're still level here at Odsal!


15:10 - Another chance for Crusaders as we're held up on the Bradford line!


15:08 - It's a let off for us as the hosts knock-on close to our line


15:04 - Crusaders brake away on the back of a penalty and look to be in only for the final pass to go to ground! 0-0

09:00 - Welcome to Matchday Live! We travel to the famous Odsal Stadium this afternoon where we take on Championship opposition in the shape of Bradford Bulls in the Betfred Challenge Cup! The Bulls' last lifted the trophy in 2003 and have endured a mixed period since, however, the club are on the up once again and with aspirations of promotion to Super League in 2024, and they'll be no easy match up for the lads today.
